Teenage Boy Knees

Ok, so my son has grown about 8 inches in the last 6 months. He is 13 years old and now stands over 5'10'. The problem is his knees are killing him. Suffering from depression and peri-menopausal symptoms.

My mother aged 54, suffers from depression and peri-menopausal symptoms. There is no apparent cause for her to be depressed as all is well in my family. My sister and I are well settled.
